Organizational Assessment

Assessment involves researching your organization's current situation, including internal and external factors that could contribute to or affect your ability to implement your Strategic Plan.

Internal factors include, but are not limited to:

• Financial resources
• Human resources
• Product/service offering
• Organizational structure and culture
• Leadership preparedness
• Locations
• Cost, pricing and profitability

External factors include, but are not limited to:

• Economic factors
• Community issues
• Legislative changes
• Political agendas
• Competitive climate
• Cost pressures
• Labor initiatives
• Demographic changes

In reviewing these elements, critical issues will emerge and can be addressed prior to initiating plan development or as a part of the planning process.
